For the programme that I have to run, the calendars of where players are, and the type of fitness programmes I need this is a great tool. The nutrition, hydration and pre & post game information is also very good and easy for a coach to understand.

I like the ease of use of the programme and the clearness provided by the graphic examples and the videos on the website is fantastic. Great work!”

From: Nathan Pallesen, Director, Sports Conditioning Online Limited and Creator of the Essential Guide to Serious Soccer Fitness Training Program

If improving your conditioning for soccer or improving the conditioning of your team is your goal then you have come to exactly the right place.

And if you are looking to learn how to do it without any expensive gym memberships, specialised equipment or expensive personal trainers then you’re definitely in the right place because that is exactly what we specialize in.

Most players and coaches that I come into contact with (before I come into contact with them anyway!) don’t really understand the immense value that increased fitness can have on a players performance and as a consequence most players and coaches pay very little direct attention to improving fitness. And any fitness training they do happen to do tends to be focused on just a lot of steady running. They don’t train with soccer in mind specifically.

It is no coincidence that the best soccer players in the world are also the fittest soccer players. Yes they have talent and have worked hard at skills but without fitness would not be able to compete at the level that they do. In order to become a great or better soccer player you must become a fit soccer player. Of course this fitness can’t just be a general fitness you need to become fit specifically for soccer. You need to become fit in all the right areas and in certain ways to be able to become a better soccer player. Soccer fitness is not just about “cardio” or to use the more correct term “aerobic training”. Aerobic training is but one component of good soccer conditioning.

You may be wondering how better fitness can improve your ability to score more goals or gain the confidence of your team mates or spend more time on the ball and not just be less of a passive observer of the game. It’s quite simple. The fitter you are the better you are able to execute your skills. The fitter you are the more clarity you have and you make better decisions.

If you are fatigued in front of goal and your head is fuzzy through lack of fitness you are far less likely to have the concentration and focus to be able to execute proper technique to take the shot. You are more likely to make errors in general – whether it be an over or under hit pass, a poor first touch or being easily beaten by your opponent – and the more errors you make the less likely you are to have the confidence of your team and the less likely you are to receive the ball. EVERYTHING comes back to good soccer conditioning. It is the foundation of every good and great soccer player.

As you will see below we cover EVERY element of soccer conditioning. This is important because neglecting certain areas and not training each area in harmony with each other can have a greater effect than you think – for both performance and recovery & injury prevention.

You can get MUCH fitter for soccer and you can stick to a soccer training program.  When the training program that you choose is flexible and varied then it is easy to stick to and you might actually find it FUN! Doing hours of boring cardio is not the most effective way to train for soccer fitness and it is definitely not a lot of fun. When you put together all of the different components then you never get bored as you are always doing something different and long boring runs are never part of it.

Using long boring cardio sessions is an extremely inefficient way to train, is an in effective way to train and is downright arduous. There are no positives there. But it is what is done by so many players and coaches. Why? Mostly because they don’t know any different. Some might do some kind of resistance training like using weights. But are probably not doing so in a way that is targeted specifically to improve their soccer conditioning. And strength and aerobic training are still but two of the many components of soccer training. The only two that consistently get trained and most of the time they are not trained in a way that is targeted to specifically improve soccer fitness.

That’s where we come in. We have created the Comprehensive Guide to Better Soccer Fitness. The guide is in PDF (opens with Adobe Acrobat) and video (.mp4) format. Check out the tables below to see some specifics of what is in the modules within this guide.
