My name is Max Parker and I have recently launched my new book ‘Outings and Places to Go with Kids‘ that gives you more than 150 ideas for interesting and fun outings that you can enjoy with your own kids or the kids you care for.
As a parent myself, I see outings as an important part of growing up. They provide experiences of the real world and help kids to broaden their outlook beyond the home, school and their local neighborhood, and to develop an interest in the world where they live.
They also provide an opportunity to get many kids out of the house and away from the computer, game consoles, television, other electronic devices and social media where they often spend too much time.
Also, from my own observations and experiences, if outings are perceived by kids as boring, they can lose interest in exploring and understanding their world and their society, and can end up with a negative outlook on life. So I’ve always tried to make my own family outings as interesting as possible for my kids (now teenagers).
The book describes many outings that are interesting and fun for kids and adults. I’ve also included many of my own ideas and experiences to make them even more interesting.
You will find outings that are suitable for kids of almost any age, from very young children to teenagers, and many will fit with your own interests.
Plenty of the outings described will be available in your own region and many will have several places where you can enjoy them. The book will therefore provide you with ideas for a large number of outings – perhaps enough to last many years without repeating any of them.
The book is well presented and comes in PDF format with bookmarks to make it easy to use on a computer, tablet, e-book reader or smart phone. It also has a full table of contents that is really useful if you decide to print it in full.

I have found so many great ideas for outings that I hadn’t thought of before and have also discovered some places that I didn’t even know existed. For example, one of the outings I chose from the book was ‘Discover a wetland”. I did a web search in the way you suggested in the book and discovered a small wetland in parkland near the centre of the city that I visited with my niece and nephew, saw some amazing waterbirds and had a lovely picnic in the parkland nearby. My web search also revealed a large wetland only 30 minutes away in the suburbs that we will go to next time.
I think that ‘Outings and places to go with kids’ is a great book that will also be useful for planning some nice day trips with my own adult friends. Good luck
