Strength Training for Youth Athletes — Building Stronger, Healthier Youth Athletes Download

Youth sports have grown exponentially over the past 10-15 years, but the strength training and injury prevention aspect hasn’t changed.  That’s one of the reasons that more and more athletes are suffering from injuries when they reach Junior High, and High School ages.  They’re asking their bodies to play 3, 4, or 5 times as many games as athletes did a few years ago, but their conditioning hasn’t evolved!

That’s why I, Coach Xan Barksdale, have joined forces with one of the premier strength coaches in the NCAA.  Eric Hammer C.S.C.S is the strength and conditioning coach for the University of Louisville and worked with Team USA Baseball in 2009.  Together, we have created a program that is specifically designed for youth athletes.

It’s important that each athlete who goes through this program fully understands the philosophy and training principles that are behind it.  This will help you understand what it takes to stand out above everyone else.

This is not a one-size-fits-all program.  Each athlete starts at a different strength/ability level.  The Performance Assessments will help you find a starting point for beginning the strength program.

One of the most misunderstood topics among youth athletes is how to fuel the body for athletic performance.  The Performance Nutrition guide will teach you exactly what to eat to maximize your workouts.

The 16-week training program is guaranteed to turn you into a bigger, faster, stronger athlete.  It is designed to maximize your strength gains, reduce the risk of injury, and increase each athlete’s lean body mass.

When athletes go through intense physical workouts  the body breaks down.  In order for the muscles to grow back larger and stronger there are particular events that must occur…this is known as Regeneration.

It’s no secret, when athletes compete the advantage goes to the stronger player.  That’s why you see muscle bound professional athletes when you turn on your TV!

What you think you know about eating “healthy” may very well be wrong!  The Performance Nutrition guide will show you exactly what, when, and how much you should be eating throughout the day.

When athletes  have properly trained and adequately prepared for competition they have more confidence.  Confidence is what separates the average athletes from the good ones, and the good ones from the great ones!

A.This book was written with youth athletes in mind.  Athletes, in all sports,  ages 12-18 are perfect candidates for this program.

A.When you place your order you will have Instant Access and will be able to download your book immediately!  No need to wait on the mail.

A.Yes!  No matter if you have weight gain/loss goals you can help achieve them by following the nutrition guide and workout program.

A.Absolutely!  The two purposes of strength training are to become bigger, faster, and stronger, but also to help prevent injuries.
