[GET] Art of Jamming

You’re playing with your band and you’re in the middle of an improvised jam section of a tune.  You’re feeling good as your playing is right on and every band member is synched up.  An infectious groove is building as everyone is playing their own complimentary part which seamlessly lock into each other like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.  Ego and conscious thought evaporate as you can’t play a wrong note.  You’re on an ethereal vibration that you’re instantly grateful to experience.  In the moment, you no longer control the music.  You exist only as a conduit for the musical energy to effortlessly transcend through you and exit out of your instrument. You feel as if your body actually lifts up off the ground as you are suspended in space and time.

Then all of a sudden, you quickly snap back to consciousness and familiar surroundings.  You’re stoked and uncontrollably grinning from ear to ear as you glance at your fellow musicians with a smirk of approval.

You’ve just achieved the pinnacle; the highest moment that an improvising musician lives for.  You’ve gone for a magical ride on the music, and it’s taken you to the next level.

Every once in a while, when I’m vibin’ in a great jam with my bandmates, I experience a moment that is unlike anything else I’ve ever felt in life.

One inspired night, in the middle of a jam like I’ve just described, it instantly occurred to me that there is a formula; a set of skills that could be taught to other musicians to shorten their learning curve, so that they too could intentionally experience the “high” that great jamming creates.  So I immediately went to work putting together the core concepts that make up the Art of Jamming method.

And once you learn the tricks to making it happen, you’ll be able to do it too!  You can learn to harness and build this ethereal experience into a developed, repeatable, predictable skill.

So come along because I want to teach all of this to you, so that you too may experience the joys that skilled jamming provide.

Come join me and my bandmates as we navigate you through thought provoking discussion on various topics related to jamming; technique demonstrations and live concert footage of me and my band.  You’ll be immersed in a music education method that is truly unlike any you have ever experienced before.

This isn’t some boring method that you’ll be slaving over, painfully trying to comprehend the material and turn to the next page in a book.  See, I set out to make this a fun experience – for you and me.

I set out to answer this question.  After years of perfecting my methods and using them to develop musicians through teaching college level courses as well as in my own bands, I say the answer is “YES!”, without a doubt.  I have watched dozens of musicians with no previous background in improvisation use the Art of Jamming methods to quickly mesh with each other like they’ve been playing together for years!

Now I know what you’re thinking, and let me assure you – this isn’t some boring class with a test at the end.  To me that feels too much like school or something… actually, my brain hurts just thinking about it.

I wanted to make this learning experience fun.  My goal was to make this ENTERTAINING, because that’s what we do as musicians, right?!?

…So, I hired a film crew to follow me around and film everything in the hopes that we would catch “lightning in a bottle”…and that, my friends, we did.

Not only did we capture some great jams, but we shot some great “off the cuff” discussion and performances.

*This movie will be available as an immediate download upon purchase. A physical DVD is not yet available.

If you watch this film, and in good faith employ the concepts discussed, and you aren’t experiencing enhanced playing or improved jamming scenarios with your band, let us know within 60 days of your purchase and we’ll refund your money, no questions asked. It’s as simple as that.

*The Art of Jamming includes four MP4 videos that are available for immediate download after your purchase.

P.S. – Yes, this movie costs $47, but if you could learn just one tip; if you could get that extra edge that would make you stand out; that would make you shine in your next audition; that would guarantee your placement in your next band tryout; that would make your band sound “tight”… Would it be worth it to you?
