Because if you can be yourself in your writing, your message – whatever it may be – WILL shine through, trust me.

Whether you’re a copywriter or a marketer, when it comes to write sales copy, the fact is…

It figures, right? That’s why it is so important that your copywriting is as effective as it can be.

Hell, it doesn’t matter if you’re writing copy for your own products, or you’re writing copy for somebody else’s…

Social situations became next to impossible to function at so I avoided places where I knew I would not be able to hear anyways (talks, lectures, parties, bars). I made up excuses not to go out when invited.

Generally, any social situation with music was out. If I was going where there was going to be a lot of people (and a lot of background rumble), I found it was practically impossible to carry on a conversation.

I had developed many bad habits (pretending to hear, nodding & smiling, not being direct about my difficulty hearing, avoidance).

When my problem began I went to my G.P. who found nothing wrong and referred me to a ENT. From there I was put on antibiotics, to "see" if they helped. Next I was loaded up with steroids (prednisone) and let me tell you I felt terrible.

The side effects are horrible . I felt like a zombie. They did nothing for my hearing problem. Next I went to an audiologist and was told I had hearing loss (no kidding) I was given a list of hearing aids and was told to pick one out.

I could not afford the $4,000 for a hearing aid. Plus I knew other people that wore hearing aids. They were always complaining about the constant repairs, cleaning, adjustments, fittings and so on…. Not only could I not afford it I DIDN’T want one.

If you wanted to persuade someone or if you wanted to gain an advantage in any situation, wouldn’t it be a great boon if you actually knew how to ‘read’ other people’s minds by just looking at their body language?

The body language is already there but if you don’t know how to recognize the body language itself and if you don’t know how to connect the body language with the verbal content of the message, then you still won’t be able to make sense of what is actually being expressed (which is completely different from just hearing a person speak).

Persuading people more easily because you understand what they need by reading their body language during a conversation

Discovering what a person really thinks about you or your ideas… And planning ahead if you want to stay on top of the situation.

Achieving your goals easily and effortlessly by persuading other people – through the power of body language

Gaining the confidence to talk to anyone, anytime knowing that you will never be in the dark about what the other person is really saying and thinking about you

Being in complete control of social situations, even if you have to interact with people that you have never met or spoke to before

Think about it: humans are social beings. It is impossible for anyone to do anything without the use of language, expression or direct communication. We have an innate need to express ourselves because that is how we developed as a species.

Imagine being able to hold on to that supreme skill of reading other people’s body language every time you have to talk to someone.

That is like holding the key to people’s minds. Every time a person speaks he speaks not only with words and the sounds that he produces but also with his body.

But here’s the thing about body language – people can only control a small percentage of their body language and this can only happen if and only if they have some intentions in mind. 99% of the time, the body language that you will see when people talk is instinctual, habitual and completely natural.

That means people are unknowingly expressing their innermost thoughts, emotions and desires – and if you know how to read body language like an expert, you will be able to understand all of the signals that you will be receiving during a conversation!

You will become the ultimate communicator because you will be able to understand what people are really trying to tell you and you will be able to respond to people’s needs more easily because you actually hear what they want to express rather than what they are just saying verbally.

This is a little known fact in human communication: when a person talks, he does so because he wants something.

There is always intention behind communication – and the easiest way to gain rapport and to gain the trust of another person is to understand what these needs are so you can respond to these needs.

Body language is used and understood by world leaders, local politicians, businessmen, organization leaders and other top brass individuals throughout the world.

The greatest movers and shakers of the world are successful at what they do precisely because they can read people so easily. They can change strategies in a heartbeat because they could detect hesitation, fear, anxiety, doubt and a million other things by just watching how people interact with them.

There is an almost invisible line that separates well-loved leaders from extremely despised ones and this line is actually the ability to communicate well with others. Despised leaders are usually people who have no idea how to truly communicate with others.

They go about forcing their ideas and rules unto others without truly understanding how people ‘tick’.

Well-loved leaders on the other hand are genuine masters of influence because they can read people so well. They can diffuse…

Have you ever tried to put together something that came with a "some assembly required" tag attached?

Neil’s Rant: I’m not a big fan of DIY at the best of times but trying to put things together using instructions that look like they were designed by someone who has never seen the item never mind used it themselves drives me nuts! Add in the fact that they sometimes leave out important pieces of information and you’ve got the makings of a very frustrating experience…AND I always end up with pieces left over and that leaves me wondering if the darn thing will fall apart in the middle of the night…or is it just me?

Karen and I were recently putting together such an item and as we looked at all of the different nuts, bolts, screws, plinths and brackets and that wasn’t it… there was also 12, (yes 12) pages of confusing instructions!

That may not sound like much to you at first glance, but that’s one of THE most profound and important questions anyone performing any kind of task can ever ask.

All of those things may very well be important in the long term, but they just get in the way for now. You need one simple step at a time. All you need to know is…

All it does is lead to the feeling of information overload, overwhelm and frustration as you struggle to get started, never mind make a profit online.

Wouldn’t it be much easier for you to actually get things done if someone simply told you, "here’s what you need to do to get started then, here’s the next step you need to take"?

But you do NOT need to be overwhelmed with "information overload". You simply need to know what to do (and how to do it!) in one simple step at a time.

But, before we get into that, we probably should talk just a moment about "what is affiliate marketing" in case you’re completely new to the concept. Here’s what it is…

Affiliate marketing is an agreement between a vendor/product owner and an affiliate (you) in which the vendor pays the affiliate a commission for referrals generated through the affiliate’s efforts to promote a uniquely assigned tracking link.

That’s affiliate marketing in a nutshell. You promote your "affiliate link" and get paid when people click through on your link and buy the product you are promoting. It’s very easy and super fast to get started.

But what makes affiliate marketing so desirable – and really separates it from other business models – is what you DO NOT need to have in place…

1. You don’t need to create your own products. Many people find the idea of creating their own products to be a daunting, overwhelming and even paralyzing task.

“I don’t have any good ideas! I’m not a writer! There’s too much competition! I don’t know how to set everything up”! These are just a few of the valid reasons many people have when it comes to not getting their own products to sell. BUT, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need your own products. You simply promote someone else’s already proven successful offer for a commission.

2. You don’t need to build a website. What scares people more than creating a product is building a website! “What in the world is HTML? How much does the software cost? How do I upload files? Why isn’t it formatted correctly? Why don’t my graphics look like the ones the pros have?”

If you are a complete beginner, it can be very difficult (even using templates) to get an attractive website in place. And hiring a professional to do it for you is out of the budget for most people. Before the internet, companies that had products to sell but didn’t have retail (brick-and-mortar) stores would sell their products through catalogs and door-to-door sales. So, they needed a sales force to go out and actively find buyers. These types of sales teams are often referred to as "feet-on-the-street". Literally people to walk around and sell products.

Drop shipping allowed companies to have people selling their products by distributing their catalogs, knocking on doors, and recommending their products to friends, family, and neighbors… Without the overhead costs of traditional employees.

With drop shipping, companies wouldn’t have to provide benefits such as insurance, retirement plans, etc. and companies would only pay out per-sale (commissions). This was ideal because a company would never have to pay for a salesman who wasn’t producing results and could grow a huge sales force without any financial risk.

Companies like this still exist today. Mary Kay, Kirby, PartyLite, Lia Sophia, etc are all examples of drop ship companies that still run the "old-school" model of business. Catalog & door-to-door sales driven by real people.

But the key element to drop shipping was, and still is, a secured market. The companies above sell products exclusively through personal sales reps and do not sell in retail outlets, to wholesalers, to the public. This is what makes them work. The prices, distribution channels, and markets are all tightly controlled.

This is not true with the drop shipping companies that litter the internet with claims of huge profits selling popular items such as iPods, laptop computers, jewelry, etc. Any product that is not controlled by the manufacturer and sold exclusively through personal sales reps (AKA. drop ship sales) will not be profitable online. Why?…

Resale (buying and re-selling for a profit) is all about buying power. And with drop shipping, you have none. Zero. You are often buying just one of an item, and thus, have no buying power. Because true wholesale pricing is all about quantity.

A huge established retailer, like Wal-Mart for example, has extraordinary buying power. They don’t just buy one iPod at a time, they contract to buy thousands. Let’s look at the numbers using a gold necklace as an example…

Let’s say a wholesaler’s cost on a gold necklace is $10 and the wholesaler sells the necklace to a famous department store for $11.50 each (cost +$1.50) with a quantity of 10,000 pieces. The wholesaler will profit around $15,000 on this sale.

If you want just one necklace for $11.50, the wholesaler will profit less than $2.00 and have to breakup a case of merchandise. No serious company is going to make this sale. Not even a drop shipper.

Would you bother selling items and doing a bunch of work for $1.50? Well, neither will any other company — and it’s not fair to expect that of them.

That is why drop shipping is not true wholesale. With drop shipping you can buy just one necklace. But you can expect to pay at least 25% more for the product. That would make the price $14.75 each in our necklace example.

But we’re just getting started… On top of the product sale price, there is almost always a handling fee associated with drop shipping. This is usually $2 – $3 per item, brining your cost on the necklace to a base price of $16.75 or more.

This is why many people using drop shipping services end up complaining that they can find the product for less money retail. After all, in the example just given the retailer could sell the necklace for $15 and still profit.

Remember, the old-school drop shipping companies (such as Mary Kay) mentioned above do not sell to Wal-Mart or other retailers. They only sell through reps and, in general, all reps get the same base price. So in those cases you can get the lowest price and can potentially compete.

So are you beginning to understand why you cannot find a quality, low-price drop shipper of name brand merchandise?

There is more working against you than just buying power unfortunately. The sad truth is that even if you could find a drop shipper who would sell you one gold necklace at a time for $11.50 you still wouldn’t be able to sustain a successful online business due to reason number two…

Market value determines the price at which you can successfully sell a product. Market value is not a constant; it is an ever changing variable which can be influenced by supply-and-demand, competition, technology costs, and other factors. The market value of a product is almost always changing. For a simple example of this, look at the DVD player.

An original DVD player, when they first hit the market, sold for more than $600. These days, a much better DVD player costs under $60 — or less than 10% of the original retail price.

While it took the DVD player a few years to drop so dramatically in price, it can take as little as a few days for the market value of a product to plummet in the online marketplace. Especially when dealing with online auction sites such as eBay.
