The truth is I am a belly dancer who is passionate about teaching. Over the years I have become frustrated when students have not been able to make it to class because they do shift work, or can’t get out of the house at that time, or live too far away. My goal is to make bellydance lessons available to anyone who wants it, as long as they have access to the internet. How do I fund this? Well in my aim to bring belly dance to the world, I also offer weekly belly dance eClasses as part of a membership for Belly Dance Lessons Online. Students taking part in this goes towards funding the free eClasses. I will have information on the membership on the next page. This is for your information only, certainly not mandatory!

Belly dance is the general name for all types of dance originating in the Middle East and North Africa. It is one of the few forms of dance suitable for all ages and body types, as it is more than simply learning a technique, but is also intuitive in dancing how the music feels. Finding this self-expression is a great confidence builder, as well as a great way to develop better fitness! The particular style that I teach is called "Classical Egyptian" or "Oriental" sometimes known as "Raqs Sharqi". This means long graceful lines and good posture. I also teach the more "folkloric" styles, but that comes later down the track for the membership students.

You do not need any prior knowledge, as I break down all the moves and build up the difficulty and speed of the moves. in a simple, powerful, easy to follow, step-by-step system with full support! I am with you every step of the way as you discover how to look good and feel great.

Belly dancing does not have any prerequisites, except two things: the willingness to give it a go, and to be patient with yourself. Because it is something so completely new for you, it is best to give it quite a bit of time to feel comfortable with some of the moves. You will be asking your body to move in ways it has never done before, so it is best to give it a chance to work out just exactly what you are asking it to do! In a type of paradox, if you are patient with yourself, you actually learn faster! Surprise yourself with how quickly you can master the basics in around 20 minutes!!

Have you ever tried to put together something that came with a "some assembly required" tag attached?

Neil’s Rant: I’m not a big fan of DIY at the best of times but trying to put things together using instructions that look like they were designed by someone who has never seen the item never mind used it themselves drives me nuts! I want it in plain written English, with simple to follow steps and DON’T even get me started on the ‘not enough pictures’ argument! Add in the fact that they sometimes leave out important pieces of information and you’ve got the makings of a very frustrating experience…AND I always end up with pieces left over and that leaves me wondering if the darn thing will fall apart in the middle of the night…or is it just me?

Karen and I were recently putting together such an item and as we looked at all of the different nuts, bolts, screws, plinths and brackets and that wasn’t it… there was also 12, (yes 12) pages of confusing instructions!

That may not sound like much to you at first glance, but that’s one of THE most profound and important questions anyone performing any kind of task can ever ask.

All of those things may very well be important in the long term, but they just get in the way for now. You need one simple step at a time. All you need to know is…

All it does is lead to the feeling of information overload, overwhelm and frustration as you struggle to get started, never mind make a profit online.

Wouldn’t it be much easier for you to actually get things done if someone simply told you, "here’s what you need to do to get started then, here’s the next step you need to take"?

But you do NOT need to be overwhelmed with "information overload". You simply need to know what to do (and how to do it!) in one simple step at a time.

But, before we get into that, we probably should talk just a moment about "what is affiliate marketing" in case you’re completely new to the concept. Here’s what it is…

Affiliate marketing is an agreement between a vendor/product owner and an affiliate (you) in which the vendor pays the affiliate a commission for referrals generated through the affiliate’s efforts to promote a uniquely assigned tracking link.

That’s affiliate marketing in a nutshell. You promote your "affiliate link" and get paid when people click through on your link and buy the product you are promoting. It’s very easy and super fast to get started.

But what makes affiliate marketing so desirable – and really separates it from other business models – is what you DO NOT need to have in place…

1. You don’t need to create your own products. Many people find the idea of creating their own products to be a daunting, overwhelming and even paralyzing task.

“I don’t have any good ideas! I’m not a writer! There’s too much competition! I don’t know how to set everything up”! These are just a few of the valid reasons many people have when it comes to not getting their own products to sell. BUT, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need your own products. You simply promote someone else’s already proven successful offer for a commission.

2. You don’t need to build a website. What scares people more than creating a product is building a website! “What in the world is HTML? How much does the software cost? How do I upload files? Why isn’t it formatted correctly? Why don’t my graphics look like the ones the pros have?”

If you are a complete beginner, it can be very difficult (even using templates) to get an attractive website in place. And hiring a professional to do it for you is out of the budget for most people. BUT, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to build a website! You simply send visitors to someone else’s professionally designed site through your affiliate link.

3. You don’t need to write a world class salesletter. Have you ever tried to write a salesletter? There’s a reason why professional copywriters charge up to $10,000 (and sometimes even more) for a SINGLE salesletter.

It takes a lot of experience and skill to write a top-gun sales letter which is why most people have a hard time convincing people to buy if they do create their own products and website. They simply don’t have the right sales letter in place to make it all work. BUT, with affiliate marketing, you don’t need to write a sales letter! You simply direct people to someone else’s high-octane sales letter for THEM to convert your leads into commissionable sales.

When Brandon was a little boy – I have such fond memories of myself and he playing "hide and seek", digging up worms in the garden, and making the best mud pies in Queensland (Australia)!

Back then he really enjoyed life and lived it to the absolute MAX – until something really, really scary happened to him. The frightening and chilling spectre of… School!

From the very first day when he sprinted out of class, crying floods of tears and declared "I’m NEVER going back" – I knew there’d be trouble… Pretty quickly the other kids discovered my son was ‘different’, and they knew they could get instant entertainment from him. They knew no matter what took place, they just had to run off and leave him to take the blame from the teachers. Yet he never took the blame, he just got more upset and ended up throwing a full blown melt down, which would make the teachers send him home. It was a no win situation for my son Brandon. Some days I could drop him off and by the time I arrived home the school was ringing me to pick him up again! He was being bullied and the teachers just didn’t seem to want to help him one little bit.

"Our little boy went from loving himself and enjoying life to a little boy who loathed and hated himself…"

Brandon began to feel very overwhelmed anytime he had to go to school. No one liked him! And though he could not communicate it… He still felt strongly and knew in his own way he had no friends, the teachers loathed him and he was so alone and sad. I used to find him just sobbing under the quilt in his bedroom. His unfriendly peers and equally unhelpful teachers were literally tearing his poor young soul into pieces. Over time his behaviours began to come strong and heavy because problems were getting worse at school. And this went on for 3 years… It all reached a chilling climax on Valentine’s Day in 2004 (when Brandon was 8), when…

So while every other child was sitting there opening cards and giggling on this "fun" day; our son was made to sit there and just watch. Not even the teacher made a card for him, which I actually found the most hurtful! Then I received the phone call… Brandon had "lost it" in class and they wanted me to pick him up. Which I did; however no-one at the school even bothered to let me know what had happened. So Brandon stormed into the house and nearly slammed the bedroom door off it’s hinges. I left him alone for 5 minutes, because I knew he needed downtime before I should approach him. To kill time I emptied his school bag, cleared the kitchen table and began peeling some carrots for dinner.

Brandon was nowhere to be found, which sent a chill down my spine because I knew he had not left his bedroom… My heart was now beating SO quickly because I feared he had jumped out his window (he had done this a few times before)… However I soon realised he couldn’t as the screen was still on the window… I looked under his bed… there was no one there. Then I looked in his wardrobe because I know he used to like curling up in his wardrobe when he was younger. And there was my little man, the love of my life, hanging from the rod in his wardrobe while his hands were in the tie around his neck. My mind went blank except for the immediate "life and death" need to get the damned tie off his neck and to talk to him… To try to figure out what in the world had happened to make my beautiful son want to end his own life.

"Slowly I undid the tie around his neck – and I took him in my arms and just hugged him… he laid and sobbed in my arms"

We cuddled together on his bedroom floor and I told him I was going to ask a lot of questions and he needed to answer them. Brandon managed to stifle his sobs and meekly replied “Okay”. Brandon told me the story about the Valentine card giving and told me… “No one likes me mum, so I wanted to die", however then I changed my mind and I could not get the tie off my neck!” So here I am sitting with my son who I just had to save from trying to hang himself, and I was feeling: Anger at the adult who allowed my son to feel so excluded and isolated in front of his peers Resentment to the other parents for not teaching their children how to accept ALL others regardless of any "difference" Sadness because I had bought a vulnerable child into this world of hate and meanness, and yet I was… Giggling because here he was sitting there talking about how he had thought about suicide, and then how he had changed his mind, yet could not get the tie off around his neck!

Because it mailed for 28-years straight with almost no changes to the original copy.

Year after year it mailed in the tens of millions. Many tried, but no one beat Conroy’s control for nearly three decades. In the process, it made The Wall Street Journal the top financial publication in the country. The publishers became filthy rich.

Martin Conroy etched his name in advertising history… and… carved out a reputation as perhaps the best modern day copywriter.

According to insiders, Conroy did not come up with the sales copy on his own. In fact, by all accounts, he relied on a little-known "trick" to cheat his way to writing the sales pitch.
