Did you know that there are over a billion people in this world living in poverty? And in the United States alone there are now over 46 million people living below the poverty level. (Sources: United Nations General Charter, US Debt Clock, World Bank, U.S. Census Bureau, Health and Human Services).

These statistics are overwhelming! But there is something you can do. You can choose to help your brothers and sisters who are in need of food, clothing, shelter and more. By making a charitable contribution to Christian Friends United, Inc., you can help us make a difference and create a positive impact in the lives of those in your neighborhoods and around the world who are struggling and suffering.


In Matthew 25, Jesus stated, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

When those sitting to His right asked when they had done this, Jesus replied: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

When asked, almost EVERYONE says they want the world to be a better place and that they would like to see positive changes around the world. The problem is, if everyone expects everyone else to help make the world a better place, then NO ONE helps and nothing changes. Or worse, the disparity continues to grow! So, please ask yourself two very important questions;

We started Christian Friends United, Inc. because we wanted to make a difference. But we can’t do it alone! WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please consider doing these three things;

First, find a way to help someone in some way, everyday. If the opportunity arises, suggest that they pay it forward. Here is a link to an article entitled, "25 Ways To Help A Fellow Human Being Today". You would be amazed at what a few kind words or an act of kindness can do for someone who is having a bad day or feeling down. And you will be blessed when you are a blessing to others.

Second, please keep us in your prayers. Pray that God would guide us in all that we do so that we may increase our ability to bless and help others. If you’re a member of a church, please ask your church congregation to pray for us, also.

Finally, please consider making a small tax-deductible charitable contribution today. For less than the cost of a movie or cup of coffee at Starbucks you can help us to provide for those who can’t provide for themselves. And in doing so, you will be giving HOPE to those in need and showing them Christ’s love!
