Would you like to invigorate your training with the most effective “secret” metabolic training system created by an underground legendary trainer who has coached over 400 champions?
Maybe you would like to LOOK like a magazine cover model and always wondered what they really did to get in wicked shape? What’s the REAL truth to getting a ripped 6 pack?
My name is Dave Ruel and I’m the best-selling fitness author of Anabolic Cooking and Metabolic Cooking.
I’m going to introduce you to the most successful bodybuilding and fitness coach in the world. And that’s not my opinion. That’s a fact. He’s coached over 400 champions, professional athletes and magazine cover models.
Unfortunately, "Coach" has become the most ripped off man in the fitness world. It’s almost a “running joke” among his clients. Ever since he’s come out with M.E.T. training — many “experts” have stolen the terms and even copied some of his programs.
There can only be one Picasso and one Da Vinci. All of these copy cats can try to paint by numbers, but that’s not the same thing.
His name is Scott Abel. And although he’s well known with the top pros, athletes and insiders — he’s been so busy developing champions that you may or may have not heard of him.
The truth is — I was sick and tired of doing the same old bodybuilding workouts and routines. And worst of all: I wasn’t getting any results anymore. Talk about DOUBLE SUCK DYNAMICS.
Here’s some of the training myths that Scott has crushed in my own mind. Maybe they’ll be mind opening for you too.
The “slick marketers” behind this gimmick want you to believe that “1 set to failure works”. This goes totally against the science of training.
It’s just a nice gimmick for people who think they can put in half-an-hour a week in the gym and get results.
Personally, I started to notice was that the same old, “add weight and you get stronger and you’ll get bigger approach” stopped working for me.
A lot of people who apply to become Scott’s client have just HIT THE WALL with that approach too.
The result? You get in better shape, lose some fat, and the muscles start responding because they’re being trained completely differently, which is what the adaptation overload principle is about.
Bob Paris once said this to Scott, “If I can make 300 pounds feel like 500 pounds, then why would I lift 500 pounds?” Less risks — better results.
Metabolic damage is when the fat burning STOPS because they fried their metabolisms on cardio. It’s the worst possible nightmare you can imagine. You’re going crazy on the treadmills, step-master and bicycle and yet — you’re not losing fat anymore.
I know cause I’ve been there. I once regained 39 lbs in 16 days after a show. I felt like a walking nightmare.
Scott was one of the first experts to expose the aerobic myth. He revealed the ineffectiveness of the fat burning effects of doing traditional cardio on machines.
Look at the comparison between the marathon runner and the sprinter. The sprinter is leaner and more muscular because of the way he trains.
Then look at the gymnast physiques. The gymnast never trains to failure, but he does all kinetic chain work. They don’t sit on a bike, they don’t stand on a treadmill, yet they’ve got ripped abs, cat clawed delts and fantastic muscle balance from toenail to fingernail(as we say).
Don’t worry — you don’t need to start doing somersaults, and back flips off the rings. Scott’s found a way to get you the same results without doing acrobatics or sprints.
So, all the sayings in exercise physiology are true: “You are what you train to be.”… “Your body becomes it’s function.”… “Specific Adaptation To Imposed Demand.” That’s why…
There are eight or nine guys in the NFL who could step on a stage next week, without doing all kinds of drastic dieting voodoo.
And it’s because they train in multiple planes, do a lot of energy system work, and they’re always moving. They’re moving in 3-dimensional space : moving forward, moving backwards and moving laterally. And then, they combine that with specific weight training for power and strength.
Scott took that method and made it way more scientific and effective. MET is a culmination of the best of everything : scientific strength training, systematic resistance training, high intensity cardio training (without sprints) and interval strength training – all under 1 umbrella.
So, a lot of the breakthroughs in M.E.T. came from observing other sports. I reverse engineered the science behind the greatest bodies. This includes: the ripped…
