[GET] Juzt-Reboot® SW W7™ Specification- Juzt .com

1. What is the Juzt-Reboot SW product? The Juzt-Reboot SW product is the latest product in the Juzt-Reboot line of products. It complements the Juzt-Reboot card product range by extending the System/Data Recovery features to notebook and portable PCs that do not have any PCI slots or PCs without any free PCI slots which can accommodate any of the Juzt-Reboot cards.

Similar to the Juzt-Reboot cards, the Juzt-Reboot SW product provides System/Data Recovery protection to the system. In the Juzt-Reboot SW range, it is further broken down into two separate products catering for different needs.

There is the Juzt-Reboot SW which caters to users who only merely want to provide protection to  their notebook PCs’ Windows Operating System, and this is by far the largest portion of the market. Juzt-Reboot SW provides protection for the OS and up to three other partitions as well.

Our latest addition to the Juzt-Reboot SW range is the Juzt-Reboot SW W7 Edition which caters for more sophisticated users who may want to install multiple Operating Systems on their notebook or desktop PCs. The Edition provides support for up to ten Operating System partitions, and supports up to a maximum of forty-two partitions. These partitions can be OS partitions, data partitions, or swap partitions for Unix-based Operating Systems such as Linux.

2. What does the Juzt-Rboot SW do? The Juzt-Reboot SW protects the PC’s operating system from modifications or corruption. It protects the hard disk contents and makes it secure from any changes. Any read or write operations are intercepted by Juzt-Reboot and rerouted to a buffer established by Juzt-Reboot, and is transparent to the OS or user.

While the PC is running, everything works as expected, and the user continues to access the PCs full functionality as before.

However, any changes made during the session, including copying new files, installation or uninstallation of programs, configuration changes, virus attacks, disk formats are undone on restart of the system.

On reboot, the contents of the buffer are cleared out, and the system is restored to the original configuration of the PC as established by the IT manager.

3. How does the Juzt-Reboot SW protect the system? Similar to the Juzt-Reboot cards in principle, the Juzt-Reboot SW employs a buffer system for the protection. It sets up the buffer area on installation.

While the PC is running, Juzt-Reboot monitors all hard disk accesses. When the user initiates a write command and accidentally or deliberately deletes or modifies files from the operating system, these commands are actually re-routed to a hidden buffer area.

These changes will appear to have taken place to the user. However, no actual writes will have been made to the operating system. Switching the machine OFF and then ON again, clears the buffer area and free space of the hard drive, restoring the computer to the original configuration as established by the IT manager.

4. Applications of Juzt-Reboot Juzt-Reboot is ideal for protecting the Operating System and applications from inadvertant changes. Once installed, is basically protects the entire system drive from changes.
