Now you can use the same technique used by companies like 37 Signals, Amazon & Walmart to improve the conversion on your sales & optin pages and provide a better experience to your visitors at the same time…
In a minute I will show you how you can optimize your site in a weekend. And no, you don’t have to be a technical genius to do that or have a big budget for hosting servers…
Before I tell you how you can do that here is what the internet giants have to say about the impact your website’s speed can have on your business…
But what really excites me the most is that literally anyone can benefit from website optimization – regardless of the size of their business.
As you can see website’s speed doesn’t only has a direct impact on the conversion on your site but also your search engine rankings.
So if you’ve ever wanted to build a site that ranks high in search engines, converts visitors into buyers, generates revenues for your business as accurate as clock work…
While writing content for your visitors & not for search bots…then this will be the most important message you ever read.
I tried to make money online about 3 years ago after reading an e-book about how to make money as an Amazon affiliate.
That e-book instructed to build a review site for Amazon products using WordPress so I did that – and that’s how I was introduced to WordPress.
However, building WordPress sites was a lot more fun than writing reviews for the products that I never used or even saw in my life.
While learning this I made a lot of mistakes and tried different things on my sites and broke them – the most frustrating part was I used to try on live sites.
A lot of times I got stupid errors that made no sense whatsoever and the only option was coping the whole error Googling it.
Even after finding someone who had a same problem I couldn’t understand how they solve it because code made no sense to me
So I decided to learn the basics of coding (html, php & CSS) – read almost every book there was about WordPress & few about html & php.
And very soon I became pretty good at looking at code & understanding it and was able to edit it – I am not saying I was the best tech guy and could rewrite the whole FB – or anything like that…
So at that point I decided to offer WP services & build sites for others & that’s what I did for about a year.
And, I noticed a pattern about the requirements from clients who wanted to have a site build on WordPress.
And by this time I was very good at both of them but I didn’t have a system in place that I could follow for every site.
So I decided to systematize the process of website optimization & build a step by step action plan – “a system” that I could follow to optimize any WordPress site.
Not only that, I also decided to build a tool kit & a checklist that I can use to optimize WordPress sites in the least amount of time possible.
And in about couple of weeks I had a basic system with a tool kit & checklist that I could use to optimize almost any WordPress site.
I iterated the system and refined it & got to a point where now I could optimize almost any WordPress site and make it load in 2 seconds or less on shared hosting (of course, it also depends on the site & how big the pages are but most of the times that was the case.)
Now, the system was so refined and fine tuned that almost anyone who uses WordPress site & is comfortable with basic WordPress operations like adding a Plug-ins, theme, or adding an image, etc could easily follow it.
So of course the next sane idea was to market this system with toolkit & checklist & build business around it but I wanted to test it first.
So I gave this system with the entire toolkit & checklist to few of my previous customers who don’t have any technical background to see if they could follow it.
And one of them is my friend & past customer Jim Bryant. He is 63 & has no technical background whatsoever.
He optimized one of his sites & reduced his site’s load time from 26.653 to 4.33 seconds in a single weekend & he didn’t even follow everything that was mentioned in the system.
I am a 63, retired air force non-commissioned officer. I recently started a small business from home where I & build websites using WordPress for small business, churches & for myself.
I’m always on the hunt for new ideas, tricks and techniques to make my sites convert better, rank higher and generate more business.
But like most of the non-technical people doing internet marketing, I wasn’t really comfortable about the idea of trying to optimize my site to make it load fast because I knew “just enough to be dangerous”.
a) I’m not a technical wiz who can look under the hood and make changes in the code as needed and optimize it. Trying to figure out CSS and javascript code makes my eyes glaze over and I get that “deer in the headlights” look and freeze up.
b) Because I’m not a tech guy I couldn’t really understand what the website optimization tips that are available online and as a result I ended up breaking my site by trial and error.
c) I couldn’t afford to throw $100s of dollars at a dedicated server to make my site work and managing a dedicated server is a rocket science by itself.
On top of that I also knew that Google now uses site speed as one factor in their ranking algorithm so not only was I worried about how I could make…
